Proposed Church Banner
Notice of Proposed Banner on the front of St Martin’s Church.
The application is requesting to attach a banner to the outside of the front of the church building. The purpose is to raise our profile in the community and attract people into the church.
Essentially, we are looking for permission to do exactly what many other churches in the diocese have done. The Banner dimensions would be approx 2mx2m.
We will also be seeking approval from the local parish council, however they have given their approval for us to erect a design and see what the local reaction is, if any – we can do this for a period of 6 weeks unattested.
The banner will be fixed/installed by a voluntary contractor & a Church Warden. A Risk Assessment will be carried out before this takes place. The PCC has approved the banner idea and the cost will come out of the Church main bank account funds.
