This year we are delighted that the Lent Lunches have returned after a two-year gap! The lunches are on Fridays during Lent and are hosted by different people to raise funds for charity. They take place from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm on Fridays and consist of home-made soups, bread, fruit and maybe some cheese, all served up with lots of friendly chat. On Friday 1st April the lunch will be at Helen Cryer’s home, “Coombe” on Rectory Lane. All are welcome!

The Lent Lunches raise funds for charity and for the lunch on 1st April will be raising funds for Hertsmere Mencap. This is is a local charity supporting people with a learning disability in Borehamwood, Potters Bar, Bushey, Elstree, Radlett, Shenley and beyond. They have transformed the lives of hundreds of people in our community, by leading them out of isolation and helping them make friends, learn new skills and provide support and advice.
