Schools

St Martin’s church has very close links with Shenley Primary School. We also have good links with Clore Shalom in Shenley and Manor Lodge.

We as a church are invited regularly to take faith based assemblies throughout the year which are always well received. In return at Christmas and Easter we invite individual classes to come to St Martin’s and make Christingles and colourful crosses through interactive lessons about the reason for the season.

A highlight of the year is the school’s annual carol concert where children and parents gather at St Martin’s and sing seasonal songs and carols. This is always well attended and celebrates our wonderful relationship.

Other ways we serve the local school is assisting them with Year 6’s transition to secondary school, running a Philosophy Club and actively advertising the schools charity events. We have also have great connections with Shenley Primary School PTA where we support their summer fete and annual bingo nights.
